Water Pump
Introduction To Submersible Pump
Submersible pump is an important equipment for water lifting in deep well. When in use, the whole unit is submerged to work. The groundwater extraction to the surface is domestic water, mine rescue, industrial cooling, farmland irrigation, sea water lifting, ship loading, can also be used for fountain landscape, hot water submersible pump for hot spring bathing, can also be used to extract groundwater from deep Wells, can also be used for rivers, reservoirs, canals and other water lifting projects. It is mainly used for irrigation of farmland and water for people and animals in high mountainous areas. It can also be used for central air conditioning cooling, heat pump units, cold pump units, cities, factories, railways, mines and site drainage. The general flow can reach (5m3~650m3) per hour, and the head can reach 10-550 meters.
Working Principle Of Submersible Pump
Before starting the pump, the suction pipe and the pump must be filled with liquid. After opening the pump, the impeller rotates at a high speed, in which the liquid rotates with the blade, under the action of centrifugal force, flies out of the impeller and shoots out, the emitted liquid gradually slows down in the diffusion chamber of the pump shell, the pressure gradually increases, and then flows out from the pump outlet and the discharge pipe. At this time, in the center of the blade due to the liquid is thrown around to form neither air nor liquid vacuum low pressure area, the liquid in the liquid pool under the action of atmospheric pressure at the pool surface, through the suction tube into the pump, the liquid is continuously pumped up from the liquid pool and continuously from the discharge pipe.

Submersible pump mechanical use
The choice of submersible pump before use is very important, and the type of pump should be selected according to the actual situation of the water source and the requirements of working time and pump water volume. Firstly, the head should be greater than the drop between the intake and outlet. Secondly, the flow of the pump should be able to meet the requirements of drainage and irrigation.
(1) Environmental requirements for the use of submersible pumps
1, There is a safe and reliable power supply.
2. The drop between the outlet pipe and the water surface of the pool is less than the head.
3, To choose a relatively clean water source.
(2) Start
1, The submersible pump below 11 kW allows direct start. Submersible pumps above 13 kW should be equipped with a step-down starting cabinet. To protect the safe operation of submersible pumps.
2, In order to avoid the submersible pump rotor instant up and reduce the starting load. When the submersible pump starts, the outlet valve stroke should be closed to 3/4. (Leave 1/4 air gap. Open slowly after starting the water. To the pump operating point control in the appropriate position.
3. After starting and running. Monitoring and observation of water level changes should be strengthened. Ensure the submersible pump runs within the working range. After the submersible pump runs smoothly, it can be put into formal operation.
4, Submersible pump first put into operation 5 hours later. Shutdown quickly measure thermal insulation resistance. Its value is not less than 0.5MΩ. Can continue to use.
(3) Operation
1, Submersible pump should work at the design condition point. The axial force is moderate. Highest pump efficiency. The most economical and reliable.
2, Submersible pump every 8 hours to a comprehensive check. There is no change in each instrument. Whether the circuit node is hot. Whether the sound is normal. Whether the normal operating current is greater than the rating of the motor brand name.
Note that in any of the following cases, the pump should be stopped immediately.
1. The working current of the pump is suddenly higher than the rated current of the motor.
2, Abnormal water output, interstitial water. Increased sediment content.
3, Motor insulation resistance is less than 0.5 megohm.
4, The unit has obvious noise and vibration intensification.
5, The grid voltage is insufficient. Less than 5% of the rated voltage.
6. The fuse is burned out.
7. The water transmission pipe is damaged.
(4) Stop the pump
Submersible pump before shutdown. To prevent the backflow of water. Turn off the valve as you cut off the power. The restart interval is more than 20 minutes.
(5) Precautions for the use of submersible pumps
1. The power supply must be grounded reliably and equipped with a leakage protector.
2, as far as possible do not bend the water pipe, timely find and repair the rupture of the water pipe, in order to reduce power loss.
3. Add a filter when pumping water with more debris.
4, correct the positive and negative terminals of the power supply before starting, so as not to reverse the pump and not to water.
5, when abnormal conditions are found in use, cut off the power supply in time, and continue to work after the recovery of the situation.
FAQ
Q: What is the basic function of electric motors?
A: In basic terms, electric motors work by converting electrical energy into mechanical energy. When this happens within a magnetic field, a force is generated which causes shaft rotation. Electric motors can be powered by alternating current or direct current forces, hence AC and DC motors.
Q: What is the main principle of electric motor?
A: Principle: An electric motor (dc motor) works on the principle that when an electric current is passed through a conductor placed normally in a magnetic field, a force acts on the conductor as a result of which the conductor begins to move and mechanical energy is obtained.
Q: How does a motor generate electricity?
A: The armature is driven by a mechanical source of power (for example, in commercial electric power production it would be a steam turbine). As this wound rotor spins, its wire coil passes over the permanent magnets in the stator and an electric current is created in the wires of the armature.
Q: How long can an electric motor run continuously?
A: The continuous running time of a DC motor depends on various factors such as its size, power rating, design, temperature, load, and cooling system. In general, most DC motors can run continuously for several hours to several thousand hours, depending on their specifications and operating conditions.
Q: What are the basics of electric motors?
A: An electric motor is a device converting electrical energy into mechanical energy (generally a torque). This conversion is usually obtained through the generation of a magnetic field by means of a current flowing into one or more coils.
Q: Do motors generate AC or DC?
A: AC motors make up a large volume of electric motors sold worldwide and are used in many applications such as household appliances, pumps, fans, HVAC systems, and other industrial machinery. DC motors are popular for mobile applications in electric vehicles, automated guided vehicles, and submersible ROV's.
Q: How to tell if a motor is DC or AC?
A: In AC motors, the armature is stationary while the magnetic field rotates. In DC motors, the armature rotates while the magnetic field remains stationary. In AC motors, three input terminals (RYB) are present. In DC motors, two input terminals (positive and negative) are present.
Q: How many times can you start an electric motor?
A: A 10 HP 6 pole motor is allowed 14.2 starts per hour with a 41 seconds off time before the next start. That's more than twice the number of starts and less than half the off time when going from a 2 pole to a 6 pole motor.
Q: What is the most powerful electric motor?
A: Possibly the most power dense electric motor is one designed for the US Navy, 36.5 megawatts, 120 rpm, 6.6 Kv. See Navy tests World's most powerful superconductor ship motor .
Q: How to clean an electric motor?
A: Clean the Motor Housing: Use a mild detergent or motor cleaner specifically designed for electrical equipment. Dilute the detergent as per the manufacturer's instructions and apply it to a soft cloth or sponge. Gently wipe the motor housing to remove any grime or dirt.
